This opening gala concert will feature the music of Mozart and the brilliant London Symphony of Haydn. The inauguration of an exciting new collaboration with The Julia Crane International Piano Competition will include the 3 finalists of the 2013 competition. Each will perform the first movement of one of selected Mozart Concerti as the final round of the competition. At the end of the concert, judges will announce the winners of the competition.

Experience the joys of the season as the Orchestra celebrates the holidays and rings in the New Year. This special concert of classics will include favorites such as White Christmas, Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride and Corelli’s Christmas Concerto. The audience will join singing Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus” from Messiah, selected carols and more.

North Country high school students are invited to participate in the eighth annual competition.  Participants will receive feedback from a panel of professional musicians.  Cash prizes will be awarded and the winner will be featured with the Orchestra in the March A Symphony of Dinosaurs concert program.

This event is open to the public.  Admission is free.

A magnificent collection of music chosen from one of the Baroque period’s most brilliant composers, Henry Purcell, as well as other music from the celebrated English Court. The program will include such favorites as Clark’s Trumpet Voluntary, Purcell’s Abdelazar (Rondeau), Dido and Aaeneas, Trumpet Sonata, Chacony in G Minor and music from The Fairy Queen as well as great music from Handel.

This concert features Bruce Adolfe’s delightful celebration of Tyrannosaurus Sue and her other friends from the dinosaur kingdom as they are depicted by various instruments in the Orchestra. In addition, you will feel the Earth shake from the music of Jurassic Park and be treated to one of the most brilliantly scored works from Tchaikovsky – the ever popular Capriccio Italien.

Featuring two of the most famous and most popular Romantic works, the great Piano Concerto No. 2 of Rachmaninoff and the passionate Symphony No. 8 by Antonin Dvorak. The concert also includes the World Premiere of the Silver Overture by Harold Levin, composed as a gift to Kenneth Andrews and the Orchestra of Northern New York in celebration of the Orchestra’s first 25 years and beginning of the next.

This July 4th celebration will honor our veterans, salute the 70th anniversary of D-Day and take you on a tour of Broadway! The Orchestra will present many traditional Independence Day favorites such as America the Beautiful, The American Frontier, and the 1812 Overture in addition to great hits from Broadway musicals including Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Camelot, Cats, The Sound of Music and more.

We are accepting donations between now and July 7th.  We will gladly accept household items, dishes, glassware, home furnishings, jewelry, art, music, DC,, SPs, books toys, knickknacks, gadgets, etc.  All proceeds go toward the Orchestra's annual expenses.
