MICHAEL WONG (SUNY Potsdam '26) is the Production Assistant of the Orchestra of Northern New York. Michael has been working with ONNY since April last year. A sophomore student at SUNY Potsdam, Crane School of Music, he studies music performance and music history with a minor in music business. As a violinist, Michael is a member of Dr. Timothy Yip’s violin studio, performs in the Crane Symphony Orchestra, and has performed with ONNY as a Crane Student Apprentice. In music history, his research interests include the role of the violin in film music and, more broadly, the social role and impact of music. He Michael also works with the Community Performance Series as its Youth Programming Coordinator and with a variety of organizations on campus at SUNY Potsdam.
