The Orchestra presents a kaleidoscope of music with two color themed pieces: The Purple Palace and My Many Colored Days, with narration from the best-selling book by Dr. Seuss. Exploring how each color has its own distinct mood, the orchestra will paint rich colors, diverse and mixed, just as an artist would use. Blending story-telling with music and art, this concert will delight the child in all of us! This concert will also feature the 1st place winner of the 2012 James & Katherine Andrews Young Artist Instrumental Competition playing a solo concerto accompanied by the full orchestra.

An amazing kaleidoscope of works from the 18th, 19th and 20th Centuries! A concert with the drama and power of the Rumanian Folk Dances, the dulcet tones of Quiet City, the exuberance of the great C Major Cello Concerto of Haydn and the breadth and passion of one of the greatest serenades written for string orchestra. Featured are Christopher Still, from the Los Angeles Philharmonic and two principals from The Orchestra of Northern New York, Jameson Platte and Anna Hendrickson.
